The World as it Stands.

Never has the world needed the public health system to work as efficiently as it is doing now. As it stands, the world is facing an epidemic that has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.

“Stay calm, stay safe and seek medical information only from trusted officials and actual healthcare experts.”
― Abhijit Naskar

The COVID-19 disease, which is often accompanied by flu-like symptoms and can cause respiratory distress, was first brought to the world’s attention in early December when a province in China reported multiple deaths attributed to this virus.

The virus has since spread to almost every part of the world. It has created a great need for health workers such as public health specialists, to work with communities on stemming the rate of infections. This can be done through the use of proper channels to disseminate the correct information on how one can actively protect themselves against the COVID -19 Virus.

In many parts of the world, the health system is overwhelmed as a result of this virus. However, Abhihit Naskar reminds the public that we need to “stay calm, stay safe, and seek medical information only from trusted officials and actual healthcare experts.”

No one knows for sure how long we will continue to be affected by this. But for now, as the world stands, we all need to band together and trust that we will come through on the other side.
